WhatsApp now lets you transfer chat history with a quick QR scan
WhatsApp is back in the news headlines space with a new chat history transfer feature. As of now, you won’t require a third-party application or middlemen for shifting your data from an old device to a new phone. All you need is a quick QR scan.
That says the official WhatsApp account on Twitter. Eventually, the company announced that users can now effectively transfer their WhatsApp chat history from their old phone to a new one. And this time, it won’t demand the need of uploading the backup to Google Drive.
In addition, Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned that users can privately move their WhatsApp data to a new phone without getting into hustles and bustles. The company has already introduced the feature a long while ago. Yet, things are finally making their way into reality.

Although, a primary requirement to complete this task is – your new and old phones should be running on the same operating system. In simple words, the transfer will only support Android to Android and iOS to iOS. However, if this is not the case, then you may require other methods to opt for the action.
