WhatsApp is releasing a new beta version 23.19.1.71 for iPad users which brings a handful of improvements alongside a companion mode. The latest update is currently available to a limited number of testers via the TestFlight Beta Program and will soon make its way to the general public.
It’s after a long time, when WhatsApp is rolling out a compatible version for iPad, accompanying the companion mode. Apple iPad owners can now set up the chat app by installing the latest beta iOS version. Further, open WhatsApp on your iPhone and follow these instructions:
- Go to WhatsApp Settings
- Tap on Linked Devices
- Click on the Link a Device option
Now you will be asked to scan a QR code via iPad to successfully link your devices. Once done, you will be able to use WhatsApp on your Apple iPad independently. Besides, the new companion mode means that any text sent or received on your iPad will be synced with your phone, regardless of whether it is an iOS or Android device.
