WhatsApp expanding tweaked bottom navigation bar to more users
WhatsApp not only introduces new functionalities but also timely expands them to more users. In the latest development, the company is bringing a tweaked interface along with redesigned bottom navigation bar on WhatsApp Android device holders.
Earlier, the company initiated a beta phase and pushed off the new change to a limited number of testers. As of now, WhatsApp is rolling out the tweaked bottom navigation bar to more users via the Google Play Store. Android app owners can identify the update with the 2.23.16.17 beta version.
Speaking of the latest shifts, the company has aligned the top navigation icons to the bottom of the home page. The most updated configuration for the bottom navigation bar includes chats, status, communities, and call icons. In addition, the redesigned chats tab and the floating action button represent an incoming message bubble.

Although, WhatsApp has removed the ability to swipe between tabs with this update since it doesn’t follow the Material Design guideline. Note that it’s still a beta version, and the company will soon release a stable build with the mentioned tweaks.
