WhatsApp is working on amazing UI tweaks and elements for the chat screen that will ultimately enhance the user experience. Currently, the company is rolling out a redesigned tooltip and a new transition that shows up while switching between audio and video modes.
According to the inputs, WhatsApp has introduced new UI tweaks for the chat screen with the Android beta 2.23.18.8 version. Meanwhile, iOS users in the beta channel can identify the latest changes in the beta 23.17.1.76 version.
While switching between audio and video, the WhatsApp chat screen now displays a decent transition effect along with a redesigned tooltip. To check the availability of this change, tap on the microphone button.

On the flip side, the update has new messages within chats for specific call events. In case a call is missed or ends, the event in the chat has been redesigned to include more details. For instance, call duration, reasons for missed calls, and more.
