WhatsApp is testing a new message pin duration feature

Posted on

It’s a new day and WhatsApp is once again hammering its hands over a useful feature – Message Pin Duration that will soon make its route to Android devices. As the name reflects, the respective tweak will enable users to choose a specific timespan for the pinned text or message in the application.

In recent times, the company has initiated several new features that aim to enhance the user experience. Notably, some of them count for the privacy section, while others are making the existing functions more effective and convenient to use.

And so is the message pin duration feature that will soon visit you with the stable WhatsApp versions. Due to this implementation, it would be possible to pin a message within an individual or group chat for a certain period. The app already has auto-disappearing pinned messages but in the future, you can select a specific period to staple the text at the top.

According to the latest information, the feature is running in the testing phase for the moment and was spotted in the Android beta build 2.23.13.11. Eventually, the capability will let you pick a choice from three options: 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days.
