WhatsApp preps new message menu to send ‘view once’ images

WhatsApp is working on a new message menu, particularly for the ‘view once’ images and videos. The company is testing this capability in the Android beta 2.23.18.3 version, which is available to some beta testers via the Google Play Store.

According to the details, WhatsApp new message menu will inform users about the ‘view once’ feature while sending images or videos to other chats. A text will pop up above the send button reading – Press and hold to send as a view once message on the app screen.

Following the press and hold action, a new menu will appear, allowing the user to choose to send the image as a view once message. The same applies to videos as well, but it’s not applicable to GIFs.

These enhancements are still in the testing phase and hence it won’t be right to say whether they will show up in the stable release or not. But by that time, you can check these changes in the latest version of WhatsApp.
