WhatsApp has started rolling out a new Android beta 2.23.18.5 version which brings the recent history-sharing feature. Yes, the capability is quite useful and is available to a limited number of beta testers via the Google Play Store.

According to the information, WhatsApp is preparing a new recent history-sharing feature for group conversations. As the name reflects, the function will automatically share messages sent in the group up to 24 hours before a new member joins.

However, it is worth mentioning that only group admins can access this facility. When enabled, all group members will receive a notification within the group chat. The feature is helpful for those who frequently miss important topics before joining the group.
