WhatsApp for Android starts testing schedule group call feature

Posted on

WhatsApp will soon allow users to schedule a group call with an amazing capability. In the current scenario, the company has started working on a new feature that will let users plan and arrange group calls with their loved ones efficiently.

According to the inputs, WhatsApp is testing a unique schedule group call feature. Eventually, the term reflects that users would be able to notify all participants in the group about the upcoming calls. All you have to do is, press the call button within the group to check if the feature is available.

Users can pick the call subject alongside the scheduled call date. On the flip side, one can select whether to attempt voice or video calls. After scheduling a group call, an event automatically gets added to the group chat, and the participant to join the call will be notified 15 minutes before the group call starts.

Currently, this feature is rolling out with the Android 2.23.17.7 beta version and is available to some beta testers through the Google Play Store. Yet, we hope that the company will soon bring this capability with a stable release for general consumers.
