Posted on

WhatsApp concerns about users’ security and hence, it constantly rolls out new enhancements that can secure the app more efficiently. In the latest development, WhatsApp is introducing an automated security code verification feature for the Android application.

Diving into the details, the company has released the WhatsApp Android 2.23.19.15 beta version which installs an all-new automated security code verification capability. The update is available to a limited number of testers via the Google Play Store.

Talking about the new addition, WhatsApp Android is now offering a revamped encryption screen. In this section, the app will try to verify if messages are end-to-end encrypted, without requiring any intervention from the users’ side.

Notably, this process is known as ‘Key Transparency’ and it aims to enhance the overall security of conversations by checking if users are relying upon the secure connection. Don’t stress as you will still have the option to manually verify, in case the new feature fails to operate.
