WhatsApp Avatar feature is an interesting addition to the chat app that makes the conversation fun and in the current scenario, the company is expanding this capability to the video section. WhatsApp is now rolling out the video avatar calling feature for some testers.
Spotted in the Android beta 2.23.19.14 version, the company is bringing a new video avatar functionality that will let you replace the original video face with dynamic video avatars during the calls. Eventually, this feature will add a personalized touch to chats, making interactions more expressive.
When a user switches to the video avatar mode, the feature will mimic their facial movements and expressions in real time, resulting in making the interaction more realistic. In terms of privacy, things will still work under end-to-end encryption.
To check the availability of this new implication, try to place a video call and see if an avatar tab appears within the calling screen. Note that you can switch back to the original video mode at any time.
