On August 3, OnePlus officially unveiled its new OxygenOS 13 operating system for smartphones. The new custom skin is based on the Android 13 operating system and includes several new features and minor UI tweaks to improve the user experience.

According to OnePlus, OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 offers a fresh and bold visual design. The Anamorphic design (inspired by nature) provides a simple and clean visual interface and uses intelligent personalization to replace standard display information with dynamic information. Also, a comprehensive upgrade that emphasizes customization and personalization, gaming, and connectivity.

Since OxygenOS 13 release, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro users have one curiosity – Will my OnePlus 7 get OxygenOS 13 (Android 13) update?

As for the OnePlus 7 smartphone, the company launched it with Android 10-based OxygenOS 10. The flagship device supports up to two major OS upgrades and is now running Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.

Since the OnePlus 7 series smartphone came out of the box with Android 10, it is not eligible for the OxygenOS 13 upgrade. So far it has received two major upgrades which include OxygenOS 11 with Android 11 and OxygenOS 12 with Android 12.

On 14 May 2019, OnePlus introduced its flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7 sports a 6.41-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

This flagship killer is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and Adreno 640 GPU. Both phones are available with either 128GB or 256GB of storage, but the 7 Pro is available in 7GB and 8GB versions, as well as 12GB of RAM.

Both phones have 16-megapixel sensors for the front camera, but the rear camera is a major upgrade over the 7 Pro. The main sensor is 48 MP with OIS. The 7 has a 5-megapixel depth sensor, while the 7 Pro packs a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor and an 8-megapixel S5K3M3 telephoto sensor.
