The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global Management ad consulting firm, uses innovation as a parameter for ranking companies worldwide. Recently, it released a report with the list of 50 most innovative companies to date.

Apple leads everyone and ranks first among innovative companies. Alphabet, Google’s parent company, ranks second. The top ten innovative companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Tesla, Samsung, IBM, Huawei, Sony, and Pfizer.
Talking about Samsung, it ranked 6th in this year’s readiest innovators. There’s no doubt about the company’s innovative progress in the industry as it offers high-profile foldable phones, flagship mobile chipsets, top-class displays, and much more as well as it also leads the global smartphone market.
Apart from these companies, four more Chinese OEMs are also on the list of the top 50 including Alibaba (14th), Lenovo (25th) and Tencent (26th), and finally Xiaomi (31st).
About the Chinese individuals, Huawei Technology ranked eighth and the only Chinese company to take a place in the top ten. There is no doubt that Huawei is the most innovative company in mainland China.
Other companies you might want to be on the list include LG, Facebook, Oracle, Dell, HP, Walmart, eBay, SAP, Philips, etc. Unfortunately, any processor manufacturer such as AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, or MediaTek is not on the list.
It is noteworthy that BCG’s static analysis report is based on the calculation of an evaluation model called i2i. It divides the innovation capacity of a single company into two main aspects are Practice and Platform.
These characteristics are divided into innovation projects, investment departments, and 10 sub-projects, which include vision, target area, organizational structure, talent culture, and landing capabilities.
