In addition, Xiaomi also announced that the new phone will use a new battery material, that is, a new generation of lithium cobalt oxide batteries, and use the battery negative shunt technology to reduce the maximum battery temperature by 5 °C during charging.

The battery capacity of the Xiaomi 12S has also increased by 100mAh to 4500mAh. According to previous revelations, this model weighs only 183g, which is what Lei Jun said, “a small body has a lot of power.”

In addition to the Mi 12S, the super-sized Mi 12S Ultra will use a more advanced and expensive second-generation silicon-oxygen anode battery, with a battery energy density of up to 714Wh/L, 4 times the lithium-ion storage capacity of traditional graphite.

Although Xiaomi did not announce the battery capacity, it should be no less than a 4800mAh battery and support 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless flash charging.

Moreover, Xiaomi also officially announced the new Pengpai G1 battery management self-developed chip today. The Mi 12S Ultra will be equipped with two self-developed chips, Xiaomi Pengpai P1 and Xiaomi Pengpai G1, which can monitor battery safety in milliseconds in real time. Greatly improve the accuracy of battery life prediction and effectively increase the battery life of mobile phones.
