Developer Options is a set of advanced hidden settings in Android phones. These settings are mainly used for debugging and application development purposes. Therefore, hiding developer options is to prevent beginner users from accidentally enabling certain options that can produce unexpected results.
This option allows your device to receive commands and files from the computer. Not only that, you can also install custom read-only memory and settings on your Android device via USB debugging.
How to enable developer option?
To activate the developer option in a Xiaomi smartphone, one will have to follow these simple steps.
- Open the Settings app on your Xiaomi device.
- Scroll down and tap on About Phone.
- Tap on the MIUI version about 7-10 times.
- You should see a message saying “You are now a developer”.
