Here we go, according to a new report from Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi beats Samsung and Apple to become the world’s largest smartphone brands in June 2021. It is the first time when Xiaomi overtakes the Korean brand Samsung.
Xiaomi achieved a 26% monthly sales hike in June 2021. Samsung is likely to dethrone Xiaomi in the coming months following the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 launch.

Earlier this year, Xiaomi became the second-largest smartphone brand in the world, it overtook Apple. Recently, it secured the top position in Europe during Q2 2021, dethroned Samsung.
As per the report, Xiaomi captured a 17.1% global market share, while Samsung got 15.7%. Here’s the statement from the report:
“Ever since the decline of Huawei commenced, Xiaomi has been making consistent and aggressive efforts to fill the gap created by this decline.
The OEM has been expanding in Huawei’s and HONOR’s legacy markets like China, Europe, Middle East and Africa. In June, Xiaomi was further helped by China, Europe and India’s recovery and Samsung’s decline due to supply constraints.”
