Smartphone prices are going up in India for the past few months. It is due to the shortage of components. The latest handsets to receive price hikes are Redmi 9A and Redmi 9A Sport.
The new prices have started affecting from yesterday that is November 11 and has gone live on Amazon and Mi Store. The hike amount, which is INR 300 is constant across both the phones and all of their variants (Via 91mobiles).

To reminisce, Redmi 9A is an old Xiaomi whereas, the Redmi 9A Sport has been launched recently, however, it doesn’t come with new internals. Both the models are powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset. They come with up to dual-cameras, 5000mAh battery, HD+ display, and textured polycarbonate build.
