Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom added to EOS List, no more software support

Posted on

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition was launched in the year 2020 and afterward, the device received various updates including major OS and security patches. But, now the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom has been added to the EOS (end of support) list, it means the device will not get any software updates in the future.

Xiaomi’s software update support policy is more relevant than other Android manufacturers, it upgrades the smartphones according to their capabilities and the dependability of their core system, and then the devices are added to the EOS list. Recently, Xiaomi added one more special edition to this list, which was limited to a few countries.

As per the information, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom has to spend rest of its life on the same software on which it is running, as the device is now added to the EOS list. However, the Chinese tech giant has added a bundle of devices to this list, and various Mi, and Redmi devices are still in the queue, to get admission in this EOS group.

Therefore, the list usually incorporates outdated devices that have completed their software support. So, we recommend users, that if you are using the Mi 10 Lite Zoom, then switch to a new device, instead of using the same. Because the software update is also initial for secured running.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom features a 6.57 inches AMOLED Display, powered a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, and a Quad camera setup with 48MP + 8MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. It further features a 4160mAh battery, active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, fingerprint scanner, and much more.
