Earlier this month, Xiaomi shared the list of devices that will receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version update in the third batch. The updates have already started rolling out for eligible phones and several devices have received them.
In a recent development, Xiaomi began rolling out the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version update for Mi 9 SE smartphones. At this moment, the update has been released for China users while is expected to be rolled out for other region users very soon.

This update can be identified through the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 version V12.5.4.0.RFBCNXM. It weighs 2.7GB, therefore, we recommend using an unmetered connection or WiFi while downloading and installing it.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced:
As the name itself mentions, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is an upgrade based on MIUI 12.5. It focuses on system optimizations that bring you a swifter and lower power consumption experience.
The new version fixes over 160 system header problems and 224 system application issues. Also, it brings all-around optimizations for the bottom framework to the top-most application layer.
Moreover, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition does not come with new features. It only has optimizations in four fields including Liquid Storage, Atomic Memory, Focus Calculation, and Intelligent Balance.
