Before MIUI 13, the Chinese tech giant is rolling out MIUI 12.5 incremental updates to eligible devices across the world. But now it looks like Xiaomi may launch MIUI 13 in the next few days.
On May 26, Xiaomi rolled out a beta update with version V21.05.26.beta for the MIUI cleaner app. However, the update changelog for this version of the application is strange.
Currently, the latest version of MIUI is MIUI 12.5, it is mentioned in the update log that the company has added support for MIUI 13 floating windows. This clearly shows that MIUI 13 is indeed under development.
Changelog
1. General development of engines for garbage cleaning
2. Adaptation to the state of the floating window of MIUI 13
3. Fix known issues
Since Xiaomi has now started to update its system applications to be compatible with MIUI 13, the next generation of MIUI is likely to be officially released soon.
However, the cleaner app update log doesn’t really help us estimate the release date of MIUI 13, one can easily assume that the update announcement is now closer than ever.
Earlier, a rumor claimed that MIUI 13 could be announced in June. The same report also revealed certain popular older devices which won’t be getting the update. So far, there is no information about the new features in MIUI 13.
