I am a OnePlus fan, but I don’t like the big nasty rear camera ring

OnePlus smartphones have always been the cream of the crop in terms of design as the company unveiled some of the best outlooks so far. But in recent years, the OEM stopped prioritizing the device’s appearance. One example could be the rear camera ring on the OnePlus 11 which is not favored by many users.

Even after being a huge fan, I dislike the OnePlus 11 rear camera ring. Of course, the company tried to change the typical appearance of OnePlus smartphones by incorporating non-rectangular lens modules. However, this implementation still lacks both impression as well as robustness.

Meanwhile, some users reported that the OnePlus 11 K-shaped panel around the circular lens frame can be easily broken with slight pressure. As a smartphone buyer, everyone looks for a device that can remain strong in both software as well as hardware aspects. Perhaps, things run the opposite with OnePlus.

On the other hand, the Chinese manufacturer continues to stretch the same design for years with some moderate-level changes. That says – the upcoming OnePlus 12 will bear the same circular camera with certain tweaks and improvements.

Has OnePlus lost its creativity?

In case you are wondering if OnePlus has lost its creativity – that’s not true. Nord CE 3 Lite, OnePlus Pad, and the renders of the first-ever fold device hint that the company began taking its steps toward the right path and is still capable of the utmost innovation. Yet, the tech giant requires major changes to maintain its position and reach the top in the smartphone market.
