Acer announces Chromebook 515 laptop launch date on December
Acer released the Chromebook 515 laptop at the Next@Acer global conference. Compared with the high-end Chromebooks previously sold by Acer, the most attractive feature of the Chromebook 515 is its low price and sufficient configuration.
The Chromebook 515 is equipped with a 15.6-inch screen, a full-size keyboard, and a fingerprint reader. Chromebook 515 can be provided with Intel Pentium Gold 7505 and 11th generation Intel Core i3, i5, i7 processors, up to 16GB of memory, and 512GB of PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. Optional matte touch screen to avoid screen reflection.
According to the latest report, its performance is very good. At the same time, more than a dozen Chrome tabs are turned on, and there is no freeze when playing YouTube videos. Acer did not provide the battery capacity of the Chromebook 515 but claims that it will have up to 10 hours of battery life.

But the main disadvantage of the Chromebook 515 is that the appearance is not very gratifying. The frame around the screen panel is thick, and the top cover and keyboard panel have obvious bends. But the overall processing effect is just right, it is very comfortable to hold in the hand, and its weight is only 3.75 pounds (about 1702 grams), which is quite portable.
Furthermore, there are two models of Acer Chromebook 515, Chromebook 515 Normal Edition, and Chromebook 515 Enterprise Edition. The only difference between the two is that the latter is equipped with the Chrome OS Enterprise Edition system, including additional security suites and management suites for the IT department.
At the same time, the Acer Chromebook Spin 514 and Chromebook Spin 314 have also been updated and will be equipped with 11th generation Intel processors.
