Posted on

Acer released the new predator Orion 7000, becoming the first desktops equipped with Intel’s 12th-generation Core processor. Intel’s 12th-generation Core Alder Lake desktop platform will provide users with more performance. Intel has introduced a new asymmetric core concept for the first time in the Alder Lake platform, supporting new features such as PCIe 5.0 and DDR5.

Moreover, it has more caches and a new chip layout, allowing the processor’s performance core and efficiency core to better distribute the workload. Although Acer has not yet provided the specific range of Intel 12th-generation processors such as Core i5, Core i7, Core i9, the company has made it clear that they will use lock-free processors that can be overclocked.

Furthermore, other configurations of the Acer Predator Orion 7000 are equally powerful, supporting up to 64GB DDR5-4000 memory, 24G GDDR6X RTX 3090 graphics card, and a series of storage options including solid-state drives and mechanical hard drives, built-in Wi-Fi 6E and 10 A USB interface including Type-A and Type-C.

Similarly, the Predator Orion 7000 also has some interesting little details, such as the tool-free disassembly design of the chassis, a hot-swappable 2.5-inch USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C interface hard disk slot on the top of the chassis, and a built-in AIO that integrates water cooling and uses special ceramic bearings in its cooling fan.

For users who like RGB, Acer’s new 120mm and 140mm Frost Blade 2.0 fans have ARGB lighting effects that can be adjusted at will. The predator Orion 7000 will be sold in the first quarter of next year in China and in the United States in the second quarter of next year.

Besides, Acer also released the Predator Gaming Table, which comes with a cup holder, a headset holder, and a 55-inch carbon fiber desktop, which can be placed on a giant Predator mouse pad. Acer also released two different gaming projectors, the LED projector GD711 with a resolution of up to 4K and a variable refresh rate, and the other GM712 with a light bulb that can output up to 3,600 lumens.

For non-gaming users, Acer also released four new Chromebooks headed by the Chromebook Spin 514, broadening the product line of the Vero series of environmentally friendly notebooks and monitors, as well as a large number of new business notebook products, including the new Enduro and TravelMate notebooks, and the surface is treated with antimicrobial silver ions.
