Moreover, AMD is expected to launch its Milan-X EPYC series processors at this conference. This series will use special 3D V-cache technology, even earlier than the Vermeer-X consumer product line. The line is also based on the Zen3 micro-architecture.

In addition, AMD may launch the first product based on Multi-Chip Module Design (MCM), even before Intel’s Ponte Vecchio (Xe-HPC) and NVIDIA GH100 (Hopper).

Furthermore, it was reported that the AMD Instinct MI250X accelerator card equipped with MCM GPU has 110 computing units, 128GB HBM2e memory, and a 500W TDP design.

Besides, AMD’s event is scheduled to be held the day before NVIDIA’s GTC 2021, and NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun will also release new AI technologies and products in the subsequent GTC keynote speech.
