AMD’s next-generation RDNA GPU architecture is supposed to use 3D unlimited cache technology
According to the latest report, that AMD’s next-generation RDNA GPU architecture is expected to use 3D unlimited cache technology. This will be the first time AMD has applied this technology to graphics chips after EPYC and Ryzen series CPUs.
Currently, AMD RDNA 2 architecture graphics cards support unlimited cache, and RX 6000 series graphics cards are equipped with a maximum of 128MB. This cache is located next to the GPU core and can provide much higher bandwidth than GDDR6/6X video memory, up to 2TB/s.

If 3D cascading technology is used, the infinite cache capacity of core models such as the next-generation Navi 31 will reach 512MB, further improving GPU performance.
In addition, AMD will also launch a server-oriented CDNA 2 architecture GPU, using MCM multi-chip packaging, but its detailed parameters are unknown, but it will also be equipped with an unlimited cache.
