TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) will reportedly implement its 2-nanometer node with the GAA technology in the coming months and just like the previous year, this time too. The TSMC 2nm chip is likely to make its first appearance on Apple devices with production set to begin in 2025.

According to the information, TSMC has seen smooth progress in 2nm process implementation and has seen customer interest and participation in 2nm processes” especially for high-performance computing and smartphone applications, with customer interest “comparable to or even stronger than the demand for 3nm at its early stage.

Notably, Apple was the first company to utilize TSMC’s initial 3nm technology with the A17 Pro chip in the iPhone 15 Pro and ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max, and the company is likely to follow suit with the chipmaker’s 2nm chips.

Therefore, Apple’s next chip, the A18, could launch with the iPhone 16 in September, which would bring us well to 2025 and then the possibility of an M4 chip production could begin that could be made using the next generation process.
