BMW i4 launched pure electric vehicle with a battery life of 590 KM

BMW Group today released the pure electric coupe BMW i4 online today, including BMW i4 eDrive40 and BMW i4 M50 two models, of which, BMW i4 M50 is the BMW M series The first pure electric vehicle.

The BMW i4 is equipped with BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive electric drive technology, which can produce a maximum output of 400 kilowatts and has a cruising range of up to 590 kilometers under the WLTP standard. In addition, the car will be equipped with BMW’s latest iDrive 8.0 in-vehicle system.

A dual-screen is installed on the center console. The screen size is 14.9 inches and adopts a touchable curved surface design. The length, width, and height of the BMW i4 M50 are 4785/1852/1448 mm, the wheelbase is 2856 mm, the front/rear wheelbase is 1600/1630 mm, and the drag coefficient is as low as 0.24cd.

In terms of power, the i4 M50 has a maximum power of 544 horsepower and a peak torque of 795 Nm, surpassing the new M4 Thunder version. And the car can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. At the same time, with the help of an 80.7 kWh battery pack, the car has a maximum cruising range of 510 kilometers (WLTP working condition).

The BMW i4 eDrive40 has a maximum power of 340 horsepower, peak torque of 430 Nm, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.7 seconds. The capacity of the battery pack is also 80.7 kWh, but lower overall power consumption (16-20kWh/100km under WLTP conditions) means a longer cruising range-590km.

The starting price of the BMW i4 in the United States is 55,400 US dollars (approximately RMB 353,600), and the car will be listed on the Chinese market by the end of this year.
