CES 2021: AMD announces Ryzen 5000 series of 7nm based processors
AMD is a famous tech giant that produces the CPU’s for PC and laptop and compete alongside the Intel’s ‘I’ series of processors. The company has recently announced its Ryzen 5000 series of mobile CPUs during the CES 2021 event.
The company in the event also claimed that the new processors to be the most powerful processors that are ever built. These new models of the chipsets are based on the 7nm Zen3 architecture while the others are based on older Zen 2 architecture.
There will be two categories of chipsets that will further dived into four categories as Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9. The two categories will consist of H-series and U-series.

The H-series processors will be aimed at gaming and content creation, and U-series will be focused on ultrabooks. The H-series will get the Zen 3 architecture for faster graphics processing while the Zen 2 will be available in the U-series of processors.
For ultimate gamers, the company has also introduced a new HX chipset lineup which is aimed for serious gamers and will come with some high-end capabilities. The Ryzen 9 5900HX that has 45W+ TDP is said to be one of the best gaming processors of 2021.
While the top-end chipset in the U-series will be the Ryzen 7 5800U that is designed for the notebooks. This chipset offers an eight-core, 16 thread CPU with a clock speed of 1.9GHz that can go up to 4.4Ghz. It is claimed to have a battery life of 17.5 hours for general usage.
Although it remains to be seen what will be the actual performance that these chipsets will offer once used in the PCs at what price range these new chipsets will come in the market.
