EVGA introduced two Z690 motherboards
According to the latest report, EVGA launched two Z690 motherboards, which are compatible with Intel’s 12th-generation Core processors. These two motherboards adopt a unique PCB shape.
The PCB version of the power interface on the right side is cut inward so that the interface can be placed horizontally, which is more convenient for backplane wiring and improves aesthetics. Both motherboards support DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 channels, and have multiple PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe hard disk interfaces.

EVGA Z690 DARK KINGPIN
This motherboard rotates the LGA1700 CPU socket 90 degrees counterclockwise, and two memory sockets are located on the top. The two 8-pin connectors for powering the CPU are also transferred to the right side of the motherboard and placed horizontally, next to the 24-pin power supply port of the motherboard. The surface of the motherboard is covered with a large-area integrated heat sink, a 10-layer PCB and 21-phase power supply are used to ensure the overclocking capability of the processor.
In terms of interfaces, the motherboard provides three M.2 solid-state hard drive interfaces, eight SATA interfaces, two 2.5Gbps network ports, and two dedicated interfaces for water cooling heads. In addition, the motherboard also integrates Wi-Fi 6E wireless network card, while supporting Bluetooth 5.2; equipped with a 7.1-channel audio chip, with multiple fever electrolytic capacitors.
The CPU socket of this motherboard is a normal design and provides 4 DDR5 DIMM memory slots. The mainboard is still cut on the right power supply part so that the power supply port is placed horizontally. There are two 8-pin CPU power ports on the upper left corner of the motherboard, similar to traditional motherboards.
Besides, the product also uses a 10-layer PCB and 19-phase power supply. The motherboard provides 2 2.5Gbps network ports, multiple M.2 slots, a built-in Wi-Fi 6E wireless network card, and a 7.1 channel audio chip. At present, the official has not yet announced the retail price and release date of the two Z690 motherboards.
