‘GeForce Now’ can now directly link Steam and Epic Games accounts with preload games too
Nvidia’s GeForce Now service is a great way to play games you already own from the cloud, but one of its disadvantages is the process of starting the game. To improve this, GeForce Now can now link directly to your Steam and Epic Games accounts and preload games.
With the release of GeForce Now v2.0.29 today, Nvidia now supports two new features that can improve launch time by up to 50%. When running collectively, it first links your Steam and Epic Games accounts directly to the GeForce navigation. Through the app’s settings, you can link to the merchant account, which bypasses the step of logging into your account when starting the game.

With direct account linking, you can also reduce the GeForce now launch the game by pre-loading the game you want to play. This change will only last the test for a period of time but will begin faster when the active session is up to one minute. It works best for founders and priority members but sometimes also works for free accounts. Both of these features initially worked for Fortnite.
To enable the benefits of pre-loading, we are also testing a new account linking feature that allows you to play games without logging into your account store account. Both pre-loading and account linking facilities for Fortnight’s PC builds are currently enabled on GeForce Now. We look forward to expanding these features for more GeForce Now games in the future.
