According to the latest report, consulting firm McKinsey shows that by 2030, the annual expenditure related to the Metaverse by global enterprises and consumers may reach 5 trillion US dollars (about 33.75 trillion US dollars).

McKinsey said that in the Metaverse, e-commerce will account for about $2 trillion to $2.6 trillion of the above-mentioned overall spending, while the virtual advertising business will account for 1,440% of USD 100 million to USD 206 billion.
In addition, McKinsey notes that by comparison, spending on artificial intelligence totaled $93 billion last year. In March 2021, the first share of the Metaverse Concept, Roblox, was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Subsequently, Facebook, Epic Games, Nvidia, and other companies have deployed the metaverse, and Tencent has also begun to deploy.
