Global silicon wafer shipments reached 3.649 billion square inches: SEMI
The International Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI) report shows that in the third quarter of 2021, global semiconductor silicon wafer shipments increased by 3.3% quarter-on-quarter to 3.649 billion square inches, a record high.
Moreover, SEMI pointed out that in the third quarter, shipments of silicon wafers hit a new high, and shipments of silicon wafers of all sizes increased, which provided support for various semiconductor components required by the modern economy.
