Google Pay app shutting down | Gmail is not sunsetting | Google stops AI image generation on Gemini
Google has announced that it will shut down its Google Pay app in the US on June 4, 2024. Users will lose the ability to send, request, or receive money from friends through the P2P method.
There was a rumor that Google was “sunsetting” Gmail on August 1, 2024, but it seems to be a hoax. To be clear, Gmail is not shutting down. The official Gmail account on X, affirms that “Gmail is here to stay.”

Google has disabled Gemini’s ability to generate people’s photos. The reason, Gemini was showing photos inaccurately. You can still use Gemini to create images of others.
We're already working to address recent issues with Gemini's image generation feature. While we do this, we're going to pause the image generation of people and will re-release an improved version soon. https://t.co/SLxYPGoqOZ
