Recently, Honor has applied for two new trademarks in the EUIPO (European Intellectual Property data office). Its categorization suggests that the company is planning to introduce new devices which could be a smartphone or a laptop.
According to a Weibo tipster- ChrysanthemumFactoryFans, Honor recently applied for trademarks- Honor Magic Fold (Magic Fold) and Honor Magic Wing (Magic Wing) in EUIPO on 28th October 2021.
Furthermore, the images shared by the Weibo blogger show that both trademarks have been categorized under the electronic device category. Meanwhile, the name Magic Fold suggests that it could be a folding screen smartphone or laptop of the company.
However, speaking about the Magic Wing, it could also be a foldable or rollable screen, but there is no confirmation from Honor. To be mentioned, the company hasn’t launched any folding phones yet. Besides other Chinese firms such as Huawei and Xiaomi are bringing new technologies in this field.
In case, this former subsidiary of Huawei is actually planning to work on these models, it’ll be a great experience for its userbase. However, the tipster also mentioned that these two models should be two versions of small folding and large folding.
Regarde this matter another report revealed that Honor’s first folding-screen phone panel will be provided by BOE and Visionox with the same internal folding scheme as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. In addition, the folding smartphone of Honor is expected to release before the Spring Festival.
