Huawei announces cumulative installed capacity of OpenEuler system surpasses 1.7 million units
At the Huawei Partner and Developer Conference 2022, Deng Taihua, Vice President of Huawei and President of the Computing Product Line, delivered a keynote speech on “Jointly Build the Computing Industry and Create a Digital Intelligence Future”, sharing Kunpeng, Shenglong The latest progress of Teng and Euler in business, ecology, and technology.
At the meeting, 9 partners released the commercial release version of the Euler operating system at the same time; at the same time, China Hashpower Network – Zhishang Network was officially launched.
He said that Huawei will adhere to the ecological strategy of “open hardware, open software, enable partners, and develop talents”, and cooperate with partners and developers to achieve win-win results and build an ecosystem. At present, Kunpeng and Ascend have more than 4,500 partners and launched more than 12,000 industry solutions.
The number of Kunpeng and Ascend developers exceeds 2 million, and the “smart base” industry-education integration collaborative education base project has empowered 3,000 people. Teachers, offering 1,500 courses covering more than 300,000 students.

According to reports, in terms of hardware, Huawei insists on giving priority to partners. This year, partners have accounted for more than 90% of shipments. Kunpeng, together with its partners, has entered the core industry scenarios such as provincial and municipal affairs cloud, financial core transaction system, operator three clouds, and power dispatching.
The Kunpeng industry’s technical ecological satisfaction has steadily improved, and it is expected to reach 75% this year. The mainstream scenarios have been supported, and the bottleneck of software ecological compatibility has been eliminated.
Pull north to enable IT, CT, and OT full-scenario applications, cooperate with partners, adapt to more than 10,000 applications, and support 100% of mainstream application scenarios. At the same time, by sharing distributed suites, it will further achieve interoperability with Hongmeng.
The Euler community has gathered more than 340 global companies, covering chips, components, complete machines, OSV, ISV, and other industry chain members; attracting nearly 10,000 open source contributors to participate in community technology innovation and version development; more than 120 countries, 1,500 Users in multiple cities have accumulated over 540,000 downloads. At present, the total installed capacity of the entire Euler series has exceeded 1.7 million units, and the new market share has reached 19%.
At this conference, nine partners, Kylin Software, Tongxin Software, Kylin Principal, SUSE, Puhua Basic Software, Torlins, Thundersoft, Kedong Software, and Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences officially released the operating system based on openEuler 22.03 LTS. A commercial distribution that applies community results to thousands of industries.
“China Computing Network” is a computing network plan promoted by Pengcheng Laboratory under the guidance of relevant national ministries and commissions. The plan puts forward the development vision of “building a national computing power network like building a power grid, operating a computing power network like operating the Internet, and allowing users to use computing power services like electricity”.
At present, more than 20 cities across the country are planning and constructing artificial intelligence computing centers. Among them, artificial intelligence computing centers in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Zhongyuan, Xi’an, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and other places have been launched one after another. With the completion and operation of artificial intelligence computing centers in various places, they can be connected to form an intelligent computing power network.
At the conference, Smart Computing Network was officially launched. The intelligent computing network is one of the core sectors of the first phase of the “China Computing Network” project, which marks the full development of the China computing network plan.
In the future, local intelligent computing centers, supercomputing centers, and “East Digital and Western Computing” hub nodes, etc., can all be integrated into China’s computing power network to form a unified computing power market that supports the development of the digital economy.
In terms of talents, Huawei has integrated root technologies such as Kunpeng, Shengteng, Euler, and Shengsi into colleges and universities. In terms of new courses, this year, Huawei will launch more than 40 textbooks and teaching aids, 23 high-quality MOOCs, and release a “smart base” teaching resource reward program to encourage more teachers to participate in developer teaching materials and MOOCs.
In terms of new practices, this year’s Kunpeng and Shengteng Zhongzhi plans will add 360 million yuan in incentive funds, release more than 4,000 related topics, and encourage developers to innovate.
Huawei said that in the next three years, it plans to develop 10,000 partners and 6 million developers, and train 3 million Kunpeng and Ascend native college talents to accelerate the ecological development of the computing industry.
