Huawei and Beijing Unicom jointly launched world’s first thousand-station 5G super uplink network

According to the latest info, Huawei along with Chinese Beijing Unicom has recently launched 5G super uplink functionalities on more than 1000 sites based on commercial networks.

This technology is said to be the world’s first thousand station-based 5G super uplink functionality. As per the reports, in 2020, Beijing Unicom achieved the commercial verification of 5G super uplink technology. Further, it has also completed small-scale contiguous commercial use in May this year.

The uplink rate of the Unicom-Huawei 5G super uplink users has increased by an overall 10%-40%, while the uplink rate of edge users has seen 3 times growth. As getting in depth of the data, it was found that the network performance has improved as expected.

Moreover, it was also known that Beijing Unicom has set up 5G super links on a large scale in just 5 days in several hotspots. This includes areas such as Financial street, Shaungjing, China, World Trade Center, Tongzhou Sub-center, and has accumulated more than 1000 stations.

Huawei topped the global 5G market in Q1, 2021

Looking at Huawei’s 5G growth, the company has secured its top position in the global 5G market in the first quarter. While the overall Chinese brands have captured the overall lead position in deploying 5G.

There were different sectors to be compared and Huawei has done to its highest in all of them including the infrastructural ranking, NR shipments, revenue share, and other fields, this Chinese brand leads the party.

The 5G development in China is stunning and the first quarter report clearly shows that. After Q1 2021, China has completed a total of 819,000 5G base stations which accounts for around 70% of the global deployment 5G base stations.

In addition, Huawei is also continuously doing its research and development to expand 5G network at a high speed. Looking at its speed, this Chinese OEM may also capture the 5G global market in the Q2 as well.
