Huawei and Zhejiang Mobile recently completed the construction of a new generation Massive MIMO 5G base station in Hangzhou. After the 5G station positioning, the coverage and network performance has increased significantly.
According to the report, the green Massive MIMO achieves an uplink/downlink coverage increase of 2dB. Simulateiousnly, the edge rate is also higher by 30% to 40% supporting the enhanced experience in comparing with the traditional AAU.
Huawei Massive MIMO:
This Chinese firm uses advanced the ordinary MIMO in the 4G era to Massive MIMO (Massive MIMO) in order to cope with the 5G era. However, the AAU (Active Antenna Unit) is still the basic component to achieve MIMO technology.
At present, the industry is adopting the dual-carbon strategy to improve the performance and energy efficiency of 5G networks. In China, 5G networks became the key factor of high-quality development in the country.

The Shenzhen-based firm has positioned a super large-scale antenna array in its 5G Base Stations to higher the uplink and downlink performance of the network coverage. The arrangement improved the edge user experience without having more transmission power consumption.
Following this, the service channel beams become narrower to direct the users more precisely. After examining the various township scenarios, Huawei and Zhejiang Mobile successfully completed the network positioning in Luniao Town, Hangzhou City. The results show a 2dB increase in the coverage while 40$ in edge user experience.
