Huawei has started shipping its first HarmonyOS powered car

Huawei announced the AITO M5 SUV car on December 23, 2021, followed by price unveiling on February 25, 2022. Since the day of launching, the pre-booking for AITO M5 was record-breaking. It has crossed 6500 units in just 4 days, which was a kind of a big achievement.

Now on March 5, 2022, Huawei has organized a delivery event of its first AITO M5 medium-sized SUV equipped with a HarmonyOS system. According to the information, this event was started at 15:00 PM to deliver this smart car to scheduled owners.

The  AITO M5 cars are neatly parked on the site’s ground and ready to go to their respective owners. The price after deducting subsidy is:

  • The standard version of the rear-wheel drive starts from 249, 800 yuan.
  • The four-wheel drive performance version starts from 279, 800 yuan.
  • The four-wheel drive flagship version starts from 319,800 yuan.

About Huawei AITO M5:

AITO M5 medium-sized SUV is jointly developed by Huawei and SERES, which is a hybrid car and run on both electricity and gasoline. This is equipped with the smart cockpit, HarmonyOS vehicle system, and DriveOne three-electric system provided by Huawei.

This smart car has a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender specially designed for the range extension system. It has a compression ratio of 15:1 and high thermal efficiency of 41 percent. The AITO M5 can last over 1100km in WLTC conditions and in one charge.

Speaking of performance, the AITO M5 four-wheel-drive performance version and the four-wheel-drive flagship model are equipped with an asynchronous AC motor on the front axle and a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle, forming a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system. The acceleration time is 4.4 seconds.

AITO M5 has six colors options including Ceramic white, Pine frost green, Ice crystal gray, Gilt black, Mihai blue, and azure blue. Also, three interiors in ivory white, polar night black, and Agate brown color.
