Indian smartphone shipments decrease by 5% in Q3: Canalys

Canalys released a report saying that because many manufacturers are in the difficulty of lagging in the supply of low-end models, India’s smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2021 were 47.5 million units, a year-on-year increase.

Moreover, the report pointed out that during the epidemic, demand in the Indian market was suppressed by 5%, but consumer demand has rapidly risen, and shipments in the third quarter of 2021 were 47% higher than those in the second quarter of 2021.

Furthermore, Xiaomi’s shipments reached 11.2 million units, estimating for 24% of the market share, ranking first. Samsung still ranks second, with 9.1 million shipments and a market share of 19%.

In addition, Vivo followed closely with shipments of 8.1 million units. Realme ranked fourth with shipments of 7.5 million units; OPPO was ranked fifth with shipments of 6.2 million units.
