According to the latest report, of these 16 patents, 15 have been registered and 1 is pending. At the same time, 60 patents registered in South Korea were transferred to LX Semicon last month, of which 43 have been registered and 17 are pending applications, most of which are also related to semiconductor wafer technology.
Moreover, LG InnoTek may transfer more patents registered in the United States and South Korea to LX Semicon. So far, the number of patents registered in various parts of the world that LG InnoTek has transferred to LX Semicon may be as large as hundreds.
Besides, LG InnoTek has divested many patents unrelated to its core business this year. Earlier, the company sold its wireless charging-related patents to Scramoge Technology, a non-patent implementation entity based in Ireland, and sold its LED patents to China’s Lelong Semiconductor.
