@MaxWinebach revealed a set of pictures on Twitter, showing the internal design of the Surface Neo dual-screen mobile notebook that Microsoft had previously openly displayed but not actually put into production.
@MaxWinebach said that the prototype is from China, and the prototype does not have a screen before it is available. Because there is no screen, you can directly see its internal structure similar to the enlarged version of the Surface Duo through the picture.
Moreover, the left and right batteries inside the device are marked with the words “prototype: Do not sell”, and there are wiring connections between the internal motherboards, and there is a SIM card slot or memory on the left half of the prototype.

Furthermore, Surface Neo is a dual-screen mobile notebook launched by Microsoft at the Surface conference in October 2019. Surface Neo is equipped with two 9-inch displays, which can be expanded through a 360-degree hinge to change the device. The overall design is similar to the Surface Duo which is already on sale.
Unlike Surface Duo, which uses the Android system, Surface Neo is equipped with a newly designed Windows 10X operating system, which users can use as a tablet, laptop, etc. And it will be equipped with Intel’s Lakefield series of processors specially developed for such special mobile notebook computers which have also been discontinued at this stage.
Besides, the Surface Neo is currently in a suspended state. The reason for the suspension of research and development of this product and its indefinite extension is temporarily unclear. However, Microsoft later withdrew related information about Surface Neo from the official website, and also removed related videos on YouTube.
