According to the latest Microsoft 365 roadmap, Microsoft will introduce 3 built-in tools for Edge: calculator, unit converter, and network speed test, and the changes have been completed. Microsoft says the August Edge update will add “your favorite tools” to the sidebar.

If you’re on the beta version of Microsoft Edge on the Canary channel, you can get early access to this early feature update. It is reported that Microsoft provides tools such as a world clock, calculator, dictionary, translator, unit converter, and network speed test in Edge Canary 105, which can be found by opening the sidebar.

Moreover, some users don’t like Microsoft’s introduction of these gadgets for the Edge browser, they think it makes the Edge browser more bloated. Having popular tools at the native level, though, will prevent less tech-savvy users from downloading inappropriate third-party extensions.

Of course, Microsoft Edge has launched a large number of niche functions and unpopular features, and even the right-click menu is too long to be displayed on one screen, but Microsoft is currently working hard to solve this problem.
