Posted on

Microsoft Surface Duo 2 was officially launched a few days ago, priced at 1499 US dollars (about 9578.61 yuan), and prepared the first Android firmware after the listing. It can be expected that this update aims to solve any bugs that were not seen before shipment. This update upgrades the firmware to version 2021.827.34 and has the following change records.

Like Surface Duo, Microsoft promised to provide 3 years of software updates for Surface Duo 2. Although we know that when it comes to operating system updates, Microsoft’s performance has been quite weak. So far, it has not provided Android 11 major versions for the original Surface Duo.

Moreover, Microsoft has confirmed that the original Surface Duo will get the Android 11 update before the end of this year, although the specific release date is not known. Besides, the new Microsoft Surface Duo 2 uses a dual PixelSense fusion display 5.8-inch touch screen, expanded to 8.3 inches. These displays also support a 90Hz screen refresh rate and are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Furthermore, this dual-screen smartphone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, has a three-camera setup, and consists of a 12-megapixel telephoto, a 12-megapixel wide-angle, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Surface Duo 2 also has the so-called Glance Bar, which allows you to check incoming calls and text messages, adjust the volume, and check battery life while charging.
