Microsoft unveiled a new low-code programming language Power Fx for Power Platform
Microsoft officially announced its new low-code programming language Power Fx for Power Platform in March. Today, Power Fx has been open-sourced on GitHub, under the MIT license.
Power Fx is a low-code general programming language based on similar table formulas. It is a strongly typed, declarative and functional language that can provide imperative logic and state management as needed. Excel users will be particularly familiar with Power Fx.

In May of this year, Microsoft further improved its language ability through the integration with OpenAI’s GPT-3 model. Power Fx can use natural language instead of complex formulas for calculations.
Furthermore, Microsoft’s Power Platform is a collective term consisting of Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents.
The idea is to have a single platform that allows organizations to build end-to-end business solutions and connect them with other existing solutions such as Office 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and many other applications.
