HTC Vive Flow VR headset has been exposed and is expected to be released this Thursday. The whistleblower @evleaks has released photos of the HTC Vive Flow VR headset. The headset will make the wearer look like a bug. It is not clear whether the rhubarb dot on the front of the headset is transparent, but if you look closely, the camera appears to be embedded in the front of the device.

Moreover, the photo also shows that the headset will be attached to some kind of tubular device through a wire, which may be its computing unit. The headset also has an internal processing module and a blower-type cooling fan to support an active cooling system. It is worth noting that in these Vive Flow pictures, there does not seem to be a headband. HTC may have found a way to make Vive Flow comfortable to wear without a headband
Besides, this new headset is also very similar to HTC’s “Project Proton”, which is the model of the mixed reality device confessed by the company in February 2020 and has a similar worm-eye design. The headset is priced at US$499 approximately RMB 3,218. Pre-orders will be opened on October 15 and shipments will begin in early November.
