New Qualcomm PC chip performance overtakes Apple M1 and catches up with M2
Qualcomm is working on several products at the time being and one of them is the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 PC chip which has impressively taken over Apple M1 processors. On the other hand, it has a boastful performance that catches up with the Apple M2 chipset.
According to the information, the new Qualcomm PC chip codenamed Hamoa for Windows 11 recently made its way to the Geekbench, where its excellent performance surpassed the Apple M1 chipset and reached the level of M2.

- Apple M2 – 2589 (Single-Core), 9742 (Multi-Core)
- Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 – 1107 (Single-Core), 5893 (Multi-Core)
- Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 – 1197 (Single-Core), 9337 (Multi-Core)
In terms of scoring, Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 scored 1197 points in a single-core test and 9337 points in a multi-core test. It has eight performance cores and four efficiency cores. Developed by Nuvia – a startup founded in 2019 by former engineers from Apple Silicon, we expect the next Qualcomm PC chip will be as energy-efficient as Apple chips.
