Qualcomm has revealed the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 alongside the 7 Gen 1 processor. Besides, it has also announced a new reference design with the Wireless AR Smart Viewer. With Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, the company has focused mainly on gaming handsets.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
The 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset equips a Kyro CPU and Adreno GPU. Consequently, the CPU conducts 30% more improved power efficiency and deducts the extra GPU power consumption. Further, it provides 15% SoC power saving. It will appear on the latest flagship devices by Q3 2022. According to Qualcomm, the new 7 Gen 1 processor delivers an epic mobile gaming experience with high-speed connectivity. It exhibits a 20% speedy graphics rendering and capturing snaps up to 200MP. Additionally, the company has also used a Trust Management Engine and Android Ready SE for IDs and digital car keys.
The company also brought a Wireless AR Smart Viewer, powered by Snapdragon XR2. It provides a dual micro-OLED binocular display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
