Qualcomm announces ‘Snapdragon X Series’ chipsets with Oryon CPU for PCs

Qualcomm has unveiled the curtains from a new processor lineup that is dedicated to PCs – the Snapdragon X Series chipsets. As per the inputs, the dynamic processor packs several capabilities and in-houses the high-tech Oryon CPU.

The company is trying to stretch its boundaries of innovation in powering consumer and commercial PC experiences. Besides, Qualcomm says that the all-new naming architecture for their platforms aligns with how they are revolutionizing the next generation of PC experiences.

Speaking of the product – the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series chipsets uproots heterogeneous compute architectures across the CPU, GPU, and NPU. On the flip side, the Oryon CPU implementation is a quantum leap forward in performance and power efficiency, which will uplift the overall processor’s capabilities.

When combined with the NPU functions, the Snapdragon X series will offer accelerated on-device user experiences for the new era of generative AI and 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, this invention is likely to take over Apple Silicon chips for PCs in the time ahead.
