Samsung developing new Exynos chip to compete with Apple A14 Bionic: Rumor
Samsung recently launched its latest smartphone series that is the Galaxy S21 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 14, 2021. Ahead of these smartphones, the company unveiled its latest Exynos chipset that made its debut with the Galaxy S21 handsets.
Built on the latest 5-nanometer process the Exynos 2100 offers much-improved CPU and GPU capabilities for an enhanced performance along with the latest 5G connectivity. The processor was introduced to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 that is used in a number of smartphones from several phone makers such as Vivo, Xiaomi, and Samsung itself.
The new Exynos 2100 chip faces some lags when compared to Apple’s latest A14 Bionic chip that is used in iPhone 12 lineup. And now as per the latest news, the Korean tech giant is reported to be working on a new chipset that will be aimed to compete with the A14 Bionic chip.

For the new processor, the company is reported to be working with AMD to provide more powerful CPU and GPU combinations. While the chipset is said to be in the development stage, the early performance results and the comparison with the A14 Bionic shows that the upcoming Exynos can easily beat Apple’s most powerful CPU.
As per the launch of the chipset, it can be assumed that the new Exynos will be launching in the second half of this year. Although, we should wait for actual confirmation from the company on this matter.
