Samsung is likely to manufacture 3nm chips for a mysterious US company. As per the new revealings, the AD technology is preparing itself for the development of a 2.5D server part, which grips the gate-all-around (GAA) transistor design of Samsung that came into existence last year.
Notably, this is an important agreement for Samsung as it once again gets back into the chipset market with the 3nm chips production for the US company and gives a tough fight to its rivals. Here is what the AD technology announcement reads:
“AD Technology, Korea’s No. 1 semiconductor design house, announced today that it has completed a contract with an overseas customer for a 2.5D server-oriented semiconductor design project based on a 3-nanometer process using GAA (Gate-All-Around), a next-generation transistor structure.”
