In the world of Samsung, we are here with the top 3 news related to Samsung and its phones. Let’s go one by one in Samsung’s Tech Talk.

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 widget animation
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 6.0 Beta 4 coming
  • Samsung One UI 6.0 My Files app

Samsung Galaxy S23 widget animation isn’t fixed:

Samsung is rolling out a November 2023 security patch to the Galaxy S23 series. Earlier, the company pledged that the widget animation problem of the Galaxy S23 lineup would be addressed with November 2023 One UI 6.0 software, but it’s not happening for now.

After installing the BWK5 update, a Galaxy S23 user (via theonecid) posted a video clip on X. In the screen recording clip, you can see that the widget-homescreen transition animation is broken. This means the company still has to enhance the One UI 6.0 build for the Galaxy S23 lineup.

Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 6.0 Beta 4 coming:

Samsung is going to release the fourth beta update of its One UI 6 software for the Galaxy S22 series this week. This information is officially confirmed by the community moderator.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series users who are undergoing One UI 6 beta testing should check for updates regularly for further software development as the fourth beta is coming this week. The fourth update is expected to fix some bugs and enhance the stability and performance of the software.

Samsung One UI 6.0 My Files app changes:

Through the Members app, Samsung issued a notice to Galaxy users. The notice informs them that the My Files application has been updated with One UI 6.0 to display the actual storage in base 10, with binary notation changed to base 10 notation (1GB=1,000*1,000*1,000*1,000 bytes).

In versions till One UI 5.1, the storage capacity of the Galaxy series was calculated using a binary system (1GB=1,024*1,024 *1,024bytes) in the My Files application. Samsung notes that it made this change to avoid confusion and in response to customer requests.
